Water lab

Free water testing

Bring a sample from your pool or hot tub to either showroom and get it tested at no charge.

Fresh fills, spring start-ups and a pool that looks wrong

A sample is worth bringing for a hot tub fresh fill, for regular balance checks, and for troubleshooting when something is off and you cannot say what. It is also the first step for a spring pool start-up, for balancing a pool mid-season, and for the pre-winterization test before a closing.

Cloudy water, a smell, or skin that itches after a soak are all reasons to stop guessing and bring a bottle. The result tells you what the water needs before anything is added to it.

Taking the sample

Fill a clean container with 8-12 oz of water, taken from 1 foot under the surface. Water from that depth reflects the body of the pool or tub better than a skim from the top.

Bring it in soon after you take it. Both showrooms test, so use whichever is closer to you.

Chlorine, bromine, salt and Baquacil

The test covers the sanitizer systems people actually run: chlorine, bromine, salt-chlorine generators and biguanide, the system sold as Baquacil.

Whichever you use, tell the counter when you hand over the sample. A salt pool and a bromine hot tub read differently, and the advice that comes back depends on knowing which one the water came from.

With results in hand, the chemicals and parts are on the shelf at supplies and equipment, and anything that needs a tech goes to service and repair. Questions first? The contact page reaches both showrooms.
