Five decisions you can see from the second-floor window

Every feature on this backyard was settled at the design table before the dig. Hover or tab through the pins.

Dug in your yard or delivered from the showroom floor

Columbia Pool & Spa builds three kinds of inground pool and commercial aquatics, sells the Jacuzzi line, and keeps all of it running once the water is in.

Half-inch steel, 9-inch centers

What sits under the PebbleTec

A shotcrete pool is mostly things you will never see again once it is full. Here is the order they go in, from the first meeting to the deck.

  1. At the table

    A conversation before a shovel

Every pool starts with what you want the backyard to do. You get clear information on features, construction time and costs, and you stay informed through every stage of the build.

  2. Below grade

    Steel tied on 9-inch centers

Half-inch steel is tied on 9-inch centers and shotcrete is applied against wood forms, which is how a pool wall ends up stronger than your home's foundation.

  3. Behind the wall

    Gravel for Missouri ground

Gravel drainage goes in around the shell. Mid-Missouri soil moves with the seasons, and the drainage gives that movement somewhere to go other than your pool.

  4. At the waterline

    PebbleTec, from a certified builder

The interior is finished in PebbleTec. Columbia Pool & Spa is a PebbleTec Certified Pool Builder through Pebble Technology International.

  5. On the deck

Fire bowls, deck jets, a swim-up bar

Waterfalls, laminar deck jets, bubblers, sun shelves, beach entries, grottos, slides, infinity edges, built-in spas, automatic covers and lighting, chosen at the start so the plumbing is right.

It depends on the size, the shape, your property, the materials and the features you choose. Every pool is priced as a customized bid after a design consultation, with the features, construction time and costs laid out clearly before anything is dug.

Yes. The team installs shotcrete pools: half-inch steel tied on 9-inch centers, shotcrete applied against wood forms, a PebbleTec finish, and gravel drainage around the shell so Missouri's shifting soil has somewhere to go. Columbia Pool & Spa is a PebbleTec Certified Pool Builder through Pebble Technology International.
