Cold plunge

The Jacuzzi Kodiak heats and chills in the same tub, with an integrated chiller and an insulated cover.

A tub that chills and heats

The Jacuzzi Kodiak is a cold plunge that also runs warm. Its range reaches from 37°F at the cold end up to 104°F at the hot end, so the same tub can be an ice-cold plunge on one day and a warm soak on another.

It holds 115 gallons and carries an integrated chiller, which means the cooling is built into the tub itself instead of added on beside it. An insulated cover goes on between uses to help the water hold the temperature you set.

Cold water is a different kind of equipment to own than a pool. Ask how the chiller is serviced, where the tub drains and what the cover weighs before you decide where it will sit. The showroom staff can walk you through each.

One year on the parts that matter

Columbia Pool & Spa's Kodiak page lists a 1-year warranty covering five parts: the acrylic, the skirt, the chiller, the water pump and the control panel. Those are the pieces that hold the water, dress the tub and move or chill it, so the list reads like a map of what could fail.

Ask at the counter for the written terms before you buy, the same as you would with any piece of equipment. Warranties turn on installation, use and registration, and the paper is where those details live.

Who plunges, and what goes beside it

Columbia Pool & Spa's Kodiak page cites St. Louis Blues' Brayden Schenn as a Kodiak user, so this is a tub that athletes use, not only one that sits on a showroom floor.

A cold plunge pairs naturally with a sauna for contrast sessions, hot then cold, and with a Jacuzzi hot tub for the warm end of the evening. All of them are on the showroom floors in Columbia and Osage Beach, so you can plan the sequence in one visit.

Kodiak, top to bottom of the range

Everything between the two marks is yours to set

The Kodiak is one tub with one control panel, so the temperature you want on a Tuesday morning does not need a second appliance. Pair it with a sauna for contrast sessions or a Jacuzzi hot tub for the warm side of the evening.
