Pool service

Pool service and repair

Openings and closings, weekly cleaning, equipment repair and replacement, and liners and covers, from the Columbia and Osage Beach showrooms.

Openings, closings and the weeks between

Openings and closings both come with a free inspection, so the pool is looked over at the two moments it is most likely to show a problem. Cleaning can be weekly or a one-time visit, depending on whether you want the pool looked after all summer or just brought back from a rough stretch.

Off-site pool monitoring is there for owners who would rather not check the water every day. And for people who want to do it themselves, there is a one-time “pool school”: owner training that walks you through running your own pool.

Pumps, filters, heaters and what runs them

The equipment pad is where most service calls begin. Columbia Pool & Spa repairs and replaces pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, salt systems, UV, automation and vacuums, and also handles filter cleanings.

Repair or replace is a real question with a pump or a heater. The people at the counter know the brands on the shelf, so the answer comes from what is actually wrong with the part in your hand, not from what is easiest to sell.

Bring a water sample on the same trip. The free water test at either showroom often explains why a filter is working harder than it should.

Liners, covers and a full renovation

Vinyl liners are typically replaced every 7-10 years, which makes liner replacement a planned job rather than an emergency. Safety cover replacement is on the same list.

When a pool needs more than a part, renovation covers surfaces, plaster, liners and tile, coping, decks, equipment, failed underground plumbing, lighting, and expansions and upgrades. If you are weighing a bigger change, the pool builders work from the same two showrooms.

Openings and closings, free inspection

A pool year, from the first test to the last

  1. Spring

    Start-up and water test

The pool is opened with a free inspection, and a water sample goes to the counter for a spring start-up test before the first swim.

  2. Summer

    Weekly cleaning

Weekly or one-time cleaning keeps the water in shape, and off-site pool monitoring can keep an eye on it between visits.

  3. Fall

    Pre-winterization test and closing

A pre-winterization water test comes first, then the closing, again with a free inspection.

  4. Winter

    Monitoring

Off-site pool monitoring covers the months when nobody is standing at the edge looking at it.

Equipment repair, filter cleanings and water tests are not tied to a season. Bring a bottle to the free water test whenever the pool starts to look off, or browse pool supplies and equipment for the parts and chemicals.

Baquacil switch, Columbia showroom

“They have the absolute best staff by far of any pool place ever!!! Very friendly, knowledgeable about ALL products and give advice as if it was their own. I got talked into switching to Baquacil products and I will tell you I have already saved so much money on products and cleaning I'm beyond thrilled. My pool is staying crystal clear even with all the rain we are having this season.”
